I was born in the city of São Paulo, Brazil, in September of 1979, now living in Campinas. I graduated in Business Administration through FMU. Since I was a boy I always had great attraction to nature, in special for fly fishing, a family tradition, which took me all over Brazil and other countries.
The will to best register these places, its fauna and cultures, led me to a gradual attraction to photography, which went from a hobby to profissionalization. Today I try to specialize in nature photography, documental of travel and expeditions and specially the photography of brazilian birds, although I also make several jobs in the commercial area.I have special attraction for the rainforests and its species, mostly the birds. I consider these magical places the pinneaple of the biodiversity in the world. Since I travel to the most remote areas of the Amazon every year, I believe I now have a good understanding of the distinct cultures of the region and the importance of the rainforest for the world. I have interest in studying the natural processes and the interaction of the forest with the animals, the climate and ourselves. My photos have been published in the Terra da Gente magazine (full article too), bird guides, international travel guides, the website www.amazonia.org.br, the Museé de la Nature et des Sciences from Canada, Caixa Economica Federal bank, commercial stablishments, offices, hotels, etc. In 2007 I won 1st. prize at the ITAÚ / BBA Avistar bird photography contest with a photo of a caura antbird, a species from North Amazon that was never photographed before. Right now some of my photos are at show at the Rama Restaurant, in Campinas.
